Holiday Gift Idea: Homemade Tea Soap

The air is always different during the holidays - filled with the fragrances of the season. Create one of those fragrances and perfume the lives of the ones you love with homemade tea soaps, a natural and unique gift.

Ingredients:

Soap mold
Soap base
Tea of choice

Directions:

Heat soap base until it melts into a liquid. Add infused tea into that liquid (tea should make up a quarter of the mixture). Pour the mixture into the soap molds and put it in the freezer for about an hour. Take a nice bath and enjoy your homemade soap! Or gift wrap it and share the love (a fun way to package this gift is filling a beautiful tea mug with tiny soap bars). You can also sprinkle some tea leaves on before putting the molds in the freezer - this little touch garnishes the soap as well as marks what "scent" each bar is.

Which blends should you use?

White tea is a common ingredient in beauty products, for its potent antioxidants that remove free-radicals and minimize signs of aging. Use LBD Plum or Peach in your soap to enjoy these benefits and a delicious, fruity aroma!

Green tea is also famous for its antioxidant power and has even been linked to the treatment of skin cancer! Choose LBD Citrus for the green tea, and get the zesty scent as a bonus.

If you're a fan of authentic holiday scents, we suggest AchieveMint for a candy cane that gets you clean, Teaquinox for showering with a gingerbread man, and Burst for apple cinnamon cake bubbles.
